3 Reasons Why Zune Could Beat The Ipod

Computer and Technology - There‘s lots of hype all around the release from the Zune player. Microsoft claims that their portable media device is a real iPod killer. However, the reality might not be that easy. There will be three reasons though that will make us believe the Zune can succeed. Two the strategies happen to be announced, but the 3rd one is much more on our wish list in the meantime.

3 Reasons Why Zune Could Beat The Ipod

Wi-fi connectivity
Using the introduction from the Zune in November, Microsoft brings the portable media players on new grounds. The Wi-fi feature will enable users to socialize inside their music universe. The social web as took all the eye on the web during the past year or so. Using the Zune, part of that trend becomes “portable.” Exchanging a song or perhaps a video may look boring but performing it using the Zune and also at the speed of the Wi-fi network will certainly be very attractive for young people. On a damaging note, the DRM feature (Digital Rights Management ) could eventually generate frustration among Zune users.

Integrated Marketplace
The subscription base Zune Marketplace could be a genuine skyrocket feature. Having the ability to access a web database of latest music without having to download it first to your computer will result in the Zune a genuine and first “portable media device.” Another important aspect from the Zune Marketplace is a chance to download as many songs as you would like for any flat fee. If we will access the Zune Marketplace thru a public wi-fi network, it is a real technology and music orgasm!

VoIP Phone
This feature has not been announced by Microsoft (yet ! ) but it may be a cherry on the sundae to possess it. Imagine in case your Wi-fi portable device could connect thru the internet to access a VoIP network. This feature shouldn‘t be very hard to develop because a lot of the required hardware is already there (besides the microphone ). A VoIP phone will be a lot simpler to release compared to some real cell phone which requires much more integration work and approvals.

I think it's enough all about 3 Reasons Why Zune Could Beat The Ipod. Thanks so much :)
